For Sale 1963 Austin-Healey 3000 Mk II HBJ7
*** New Lower Price ***
Old-English white 1963 Austin-Healey 3000 Mk II HBJ7 Sports Convertible garaged at all times for 2 years. Previous owner said he acquired car through the Auctions America sale in Auburn, Indiana, about ten years ago. The car may have been restored at some point and the engine was rebuilt in Dec 2012, about 800 miles ago. Previously, car was driven about 100 miles per year during the summer months in Tiffin, Ohio and always stored it in a climate-controlled building when not in use. It is one of a few cars previous well-off owner changed out of his collection. It was bought and moved to East Hartford, CT in Oct 2022. Mileage is 70,745. The paint is overall excellent with some minor flaws and chips. Underside photos show just some light surface oxidation. The soft top is in good condition and folds and functions properly. There is no evidence of bad seals or any leaking concerns. There is no rust. All lights and electrical functions work properly. The red leather seats and carpet are in excellent condition. All interior trim and switches are intact. All gauges function well. The heater works. The 1963 Austin-Healey’s inline-six engine was rated at 124 horsepower when new. Previous owner said that the original engine was rebuilt about 800 miles ago. I have documentation dated Dec 2012 to verify this. The four-speed manual shifts smoothly. The Kumho Power Star 758 radial tires are about eight years old and have about 70 percent of tread remaining. Vehicle has beautiful chrome (not painted) wire-spoke wheels. The original lever-arm shocks are in good working order. The non-assisted brakes have a firm pedal feel and brake properly. Asking $48,000 or best reasonable offer.
