Pete Sturtevant - Director Communications
I have only been a Healey owner since 1999, when we purchased a RHD 100-6, BN4 while living in the UK. Through the Austin Healey Club, New Forest Centre we have met some great friends associated with the marque, during our 2 ½ years abroad. We became hooked on Healey’s and now my wife Cindy and I, own five Healey’s. Our stable includes a Reno Red over Black, RHD, 100 BN1 named the “Coalition”, our Big Healey for long distance cruising, a '64 BRG Phase 1 BJ8, which I purchased from former club member Bob Finucane, and three Frogeye Sprites. The three Sprites have been restored for our three grandchildren. Our Leaf Green Sprite is for our oldest grandson Matthew and he and Gram have shared the car since he was three and now he is driving. “Project Lucas” was restored as a tribute to the ’59 Sebring Sprite race cars, in Iris Blue, OEW hardtop, wire wheels, and number 54 Roundels, for our grandson Lucas. Our newest Sprite is "Project Quinn" which I bought in Cincinnati 6 hours after our granddaughter Quinn was born in 2014. |
